I am 24 years old, newly married, and have 6 cats and 2 dogs. I have been living with Bipolar, OCD, and Panic/Anxiety problems since I was 15 years old. That is the age they truly took hold of me. In reality, the inklings of these disorders were around even in my early childhood but never severely manifested. I am on medication, I've been through therapy, and have learned a lot of self-awareness techniques to try and help myself when I'm having a rough time. My husband is also bipolar and we believe has Dissocial Personality Disorder as well. However, working together and understanding one another has enabled us to be able to really take care of each other when we're having our own individual issues. I am always advocating and willing to speak openly about my experiences with mental illness and always ready to lend a helping hand to others who might be suffering or confused. Diagnosis is NOT a death sentence, it's merely a step forward on your own personal journey.
