A touch is better medication than

A pill, capsule, tablet or snake oil,

Whatever the psycho doctors prescribe,

And  cajole,

To get you higher.

You know?

I often wonder if my health care provider

And the pharmaceuticals,

Don’t’ conspire?

But touch is better than

The pill pusher’s dope.

Touch kindles the fire,

Of comfort, healing and life’s desire.

Titrate the therapeutic balm,

Higher and higher.

Eliminate the funeral pyre.

Go ahead and overdose on touch!

You won’t expire.
