NKM2 is currently producing a documentary
which will chronicle the lives of people
successfully living with their respective
diagnosed brain dis-eases. The goal of the
documentary is twofold: 1) to open the dialogue
about living with a brain dis-ease, and 2) to
show the hope that comes with a diagnosis. Real
people with real brain dis-eases telling their
stories with the hope that others will find the
strength in their message.
We are thrilled to announce that a donor
to NKM2 has agreed to match dollar for dollar up
to $25,000, donations that we receive.
This is an enormous opportunity for you
to double the value of your donation.
The documentary will be a humorous, touching, and
accessible resource that illustrates the hope
that comes with the diagnosis of a brain dis-ease.
We believe - and our scientific and medical
advisors have confirmed - that a film like
this has the potential to change,
and even save, lives.
Here's what renowned developmental psychologist
and author,
Dr. Richard Lerner of Tufts University, has
already said about early footage from the film:
"Poignant! Powerful! Provocative! No
documentary better captures the reality for
individuals and families faced with mental
health problems. And no film better illustrates
the capacities for healing and health. In
documenting the scientific, medical, and
spiritual reasons for hope, this film tears down
the walls of fear and prejudice about mental
illness. It provides a profound message of
resiliency and, ultimately, of optimism that is
vital for the public - and for practitioners,
educators, and policy makers - to hear."
We know we can count on your support to help NKM2 meet this extraordinary
challenge.
