Hiking, nature photography, crochet, beading, papercrafts, basically a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Right now the hiking a photography are my biggest passion and the best therapy that I have ever had in my life.

I'm 45 with a 26 year old son and newly single. Up until I finally got a diagnosis of bipolar five years ago I spent most of my life in a hole wanting to die. My lowest point was when my ex found me with a loaded gun in my hand but all I could think about was my son and how he had just come home from Iraq without a scratch. I could not take his mother away from him. So it was in and out of the hospital. Many, many med changes and finding out who I really was inside because I had no clue who I really was.
Today I still have my struggles but I've never been happier and I enjoy sharing my story in hope that others will understand me better as well as all that suffer from a mental illness.
